Probably the best Italian prog-rock band, even if not so famous as others.
Formed in 1969 by Gianni and
Vittorio Nocenzi, releases their first
album only in
1972:
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, characterized by classical influences based on the twin
keyboards interplay and the original
voice of
Francesco Di Giacomo.

As in a last supper).
BMS have distinguished their self for the longevity and the quality of their career (in 2002 has celebrate the 30th anniversary) and especially for the extraordinary charism of the singer Francesco Di Giovanni.
Unluckily, the italian lyrics and their hard link with the classical culture have jeopardized the possibility of success in the foreign markets, even if the band had release some English-sung album and make an USA UK tour.
