A type of simple partial seizures (somtimes called abdominal epilepsy) which include the following symptoms:

  • nausea which may rise into the throat
  • flatulence, belching
  • abdominal noises
  • stomach pain
  • and vomiting

The temporal lobe contains the limbic system, which controls some parts of gastro-intestinal function, explaining the symptoms of this form of epilepsy.
