Street in
North London. Famous for being the home of the fictional
Sherlock Holmes (
221b Baker Street). Also famous for having one of the oldest
underground railway stations in the world, which will take you on the
bakerloo,
metropolitan,
hammersmith & city,
jubilee and
circle lines.
Apparently in those early days of the
London Underground, stations and lines were not tunneled, but instead
cut & covered.
