Oh, something short and sweet:
Come from small town Iowa. (Where? You'll have to ask.)
I went to the University of Iowa in the spring of 1992, didn't leave until June 1999.
Along the way, I picked up a degree in Physics and Astronomy (along with a
Mathematics minor) while taking a few Computer Science classes as well. After I
started doing research as an undergraduate (in Experimental Plasma Physics), I
stuck around and got a Master's degree in Physics.
After that, I stuck around for a semester as a teacher, and then made the move
from Iowa City to Minneapolis, MN. I currently work as a programmer/analyst
(great title) in downtown for a company writing retail software. (Not very exciting.)
