If you had any doubt as to the general evilness of this "
newspaper", it was founded by
Lord Rothermere.
So, you may say?
Well, Lord Rothermere was an avid supporter of
Oswald Mosley and the
British Union of Fascists (Blackshirts-basically British Nazis). He was also on fairly good terms with
Hitler, and wrote an article called
Hurrah For The Blackshirts. The Mail also forged a letter saying that
communists would be planning a violent revolution if the
Labour Party came to power, something that to all sane human beings quite rightly sounds like
complete and utter bollocks.
The main thing is there seem to be some people who read the Mail precisely
because it is an
idiotic right-wing racist homophobic Adolf Hitler fanzine, which frankly scares me-most read it because it's the only paper that "stands up for what they believe in" (i.e spouts bullshit and incites
racial hatred). More worrying is that there are now
racist homophobic teenagers who read the Mail-I confronted one about it and he said that there was nothing wrong with
racism...yeah. Right.
