A wintery day. Defoliated trees and mountains serve as the backdrop
to a frozen pond.
VOICE (O.S.)
Hey, Joey, watch this!
A kid comes bolting down the hill onto the ice. Two kids start
chasing after him.
JOEY
Davey, come back! The ice could break!
DAVEY
(gliding on the ice)
Ha ha, you're breakin' my heart!
Suddenly, he slips, landing face first on the ice.
DAVEY
Ah!
Cracks begin to form on the ice. The two boys begin to walk onto the
ice to assist their friend as he shouts for help. Just then, a man in
white appears on skis.
MAN IN WHITE
Hold it! Don't go on the ice, you'll only add more weight!
KIDS
SNOWJOB!
SNOWJOB
Find something that'll reach!
JOEY
This branch ought to work!
He extends the branch to Davey. Together, the boys help pull him to shore while
Snowjob lectures them.
SNOWJOB
Remember, frozen ponds and rivers may not be totally frozen!
DAVEY
We could be skating on thin ice!
KIDS
Now we know!
SNOWJOB
And knowing is half the battle!
