A variable, in the 2000 Presidential campaign, denoting kotowing to corporate interests. Green Party Presidential candidate Ralph Nader said:
“On the central issue of corporate power, the only difference between Gore and Bush is the velocity with which their foreheads hit the floor when corporations knock on their door.”
Nader, quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle on June 15, 2000, sees Gore and Bush "competing for the presidency to see who will take the marching orders from their corporate paymasters."

Nader, who has a snowball's chance in hell of even receiving 5% of the popular vote (except in key Western states, throwing key electoral votes to Bush), presumably would have a negative number to express this variable.
