A rocket box is a rectangular metal military surplus container which originally contained...rockets or other large, kaboomy projectiles. They are rugged and waterproof, and you can get them at a military surplus store for a few bucks. They are extraordinarily useful, and most outfitters for rafting trips use them for packing food and equipment.
They are also handy for grooving in.
