A term which applies to a pub which used to be full of charm and character that has recently been refurbished (time-worn wooden stools and benches out, comfortable brightly coloured furniture in) in order to cater for a new clientèle who prefer things this way, are more numerous and have more money. The old clientèle are not happy about this, grumble a lot and declare the place to be a pub of death.

All pubs of death look the same - one example is The Bath House.
