One of those annoying marketing phrases from many commercials. It attempts to evoke images of some old European peasant doing something by hand, rather than the newfangled mechanized way of doing things. Ironically, the products which are the subject of these marketing blitzes are usually mass produced by, you guessed it, newfangled machines.
