Similar to slang used to denote the acoustically-perfect glass domes above Robson Square, aka the circle - giant glass nipples, so named because of the hatches which open in their tops (complete with ladders leading up to them) which appear oh-so-aureolish (derivation: aureole) and containing dozens of bouncy rubber balls which have gotten trapped in the rims from meets past.
