We each perform some special function or talent. Generally, in order to get anything done and to be at all productive, we must work with others to accomplish a large task. As an individual we are expendable, but as a group, if one specialty fails, the whole world will suffer. Much like the way an organ might fail in the human body.

It's a little depressing to think about this, and it makes me feel pretty worthless when I put myself against the grand scheme of things, but... I'll go on working anyway. I don't know why, but I will.
