A method of joining two pieces of wood. The ends of the two pieces are cut into a series of square interlocking "fingers" or pins, typically of uniform size, such that the fingers of one piece mate with the cutouts of the other piece, and vice-versa. Similar to a dovetail joint, but with straight, rather than tapered, pins. The abundance of glue surface area creates an extremely strong joint without the complicated setup required to cut a dovetail joint.
