In the world of Jewish education, the dual curriculum is a system under which a given school teaches both religious and secular subjects. As such a school day is fully twice the length of a regular public school day. The dual curriculum was popularized in about the 1950's and, incidentally, is a central feature of Cynthia Ozick's novel The Cannibal Galaxy.
