high pitched sound outside the range of
human hearing, but within a dog's. You can
train a dog to come to you when you
blow a dog whistle.
Cats can also hear dog whistles, but are a bit more difficult to train. They'll probably either look at you like you're on crack, or run for their lives. }:)
