1990 musical, directed by John Waters, starring Johnny Depp and Amy Locane.

In this typically weird Romeo-and-Julietesque Waters romp, Depp plays Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker, a gifted singer from the wrong side of town, whose star-crossed love for Alison Vernon-Williams (Locane), an upper-class girl, is the focus of the film.

With delightful supporting cast including Iggy Pop, Susan Tyrrell, Ricki Lake, Joey Heatherton and Traci Lords, and with foot-tapping music by Patrick Williams, this is a fine movie.
