A creation spirit is an entity believed to be responsible for creating the earth, or parts of the earth. Most indigenous cultures' spirituality is very strongly related to the animals around them. Australian Aborigines have an incredible number of elaborate stories about how particular animals played their part in creation, such as the Rainbow Serpent. Probably every indigenous creature is mentioned in one of these creation stories. People also have animal totems, which are given at the time of conception.
