Buzzword coined in the early nineties by Sega, bragging about how their Motorola M68000 processor ran at 7.15 Mhz, while the SNES's 65C02 ran at 3.5 Mhz.

This buzzword caught on for a time, with little rebuttal by Nintendo. In their traditionally stodgy way, Nintendo let the games speak louder than their PR department ever could.
