ZAngband is a variant of the roguelike Angband, based off Rodger Zelany's Amber books. Involved are quests, random artifacts, a wilderness, and a myriad of dungeons and randomly generated maps. It is maintained by, in fact, rr9 (Better known as Robert Ruehlmann) and his ragged band of renegade coders known as The Zangband Dev Team. A lot of the posts to rec.games.roguelike.angband are about Zangband, when they are the posts subjects usually start with (Z), [Z] or some variation thereof.
