Philosophical concept proposed by
Plato. Also sometimes called the World of Ideas.
It basically says that there is a realm that contains a perfect blueprint or archetype of all things. He said that human beings are able to access this world of forms through thought, however thought in reality is merely a copy or rememberance of its perfect counter part in the World of Forms.
Personally, I think it's rhetorical nonsense.
