He has been married to actress Bonnie Bartlett (who played his wife on St. Elsewhere & Boy Meets World) since 1951. Daniels & Bartlett both won Emmy's for their St. Elsewhere roles in 1986. (Daniels was nominated 5 years in a row for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series Emmy for his part as Dr. Craig, and won twice.)
