These are the ranks of the German Armed Forces, or Wehrmacht, from 1935 - 1945. Some of the ranks had other equivalents, and some of the enlisted ranks did not exist for the entire span of the Wehrmacht - however they are accurate for the most part. The ranks are listed from the highest to the lowest ranks.

Heer / Army
Officer NCO Enlisted

Kreigsmarine / Navy
Officer NCO Enlisted

Luftwaffe / Air Force
Officer NCO Enlisted

Waffen-SS (Schutzstaffel)
Officer NCO Enlisted

While all of these ranks are not individually noded, this is a good chart for comparison when reading about German soldiers and officers of World War II. It is often hard to tell the difference between ranks in reading, and so this chart is a helpful companion without having to memorize the entire rank system. The chart does not include ranks from Third Reich polizei, post office, railway or other miscellaneous branches and services which often had their own rank systems.
