The second
Magic: The Gathering expansion set for the
Urza's Saga block was Urza's Legacy. It appeared in
February of 1999, with 143 cards. The expansion symbol was a
hammer, and it followed the black-common, silver-uncommon, gold-rare
color scheme. Approximately 180 cards for this set were printed in total.
A new feature introduced in this set was foil cards. They are versions of the regular cards, only printed with a shiny, metallic finish. Everything else is the same. Foil cards are not included in every booster pack - a common foil will be found about every 12 boosters, an uncommon foil every 20 boosters, and a rare foil about every 40 boosters.
