The Top of the World Highway is an 80 mile winding road which stretches from its junction with the Tayler Higway at the Yukon/Alaska border to Dawson City, Yukon in Canada.

The road is narrow, steep and full of hairpin turns. It runs through boreal forest and alpine tundra and offers many spectacular views along the way. The road is not paved and open only in the summer months (April-mid-October). The highest point is 4137 feet at the border crossing

  • Jack Wade gold dredge-which was in use until the 1920s
  • Cowden gold dredge-another interesting relic from the gold rush
  • Chicken, Alaska-a historical tourist town
