Because the child cannot survive alone,
He is buried swiftly by the strong, rude adult,
Which must stride forward into the unknown
Stripped bare of emotion, seeking result.

That which the child effectively becomes
Must purge its eager heart of frivolity
Or liberal fancy, as it slackens and succumbs
To the sturdy yoke of responsibility.

Of course, this child could never understand
Reason for his own transformation,
That an efficient man must keep command
Over an imprudent imagination.
