After 12 hours of driving my shoulders
ache
tense and stretched out
an archer's bow

She brings me a cold one
then sits behind me

Her hands kneading the muscles
Her voice soothing my ears
Her perfume drifts onto me, reminding me
that weary doesn't have to mean too tired and
two time zones gives us both an extra hour of
sleep
tomorrow.
