There are alot of commercials and tv shows where the Lakers Vs. Knicks finals are being advertised as Plot points. For instance The Ambiguously Gay Duo on Satruday Night Live had the Evil Doctor attempting to Attack the NBA Finals, where the Knicks and Lakers were playing. An american express commercial had two people talking about what to do with some Lakers Knicks tickets, which one guy gave to the other for being his best man. However right after seeing that commercial, the television went back to the Knicks Vs. Miami Heat game 6, in a series that Miami is leading 3-2, and are leading, and roughly a quarter from eliminating the Knicks in the 2000 NBA Playoffs. It's the Curse of Conventional Wisdom in Sports. Of course, now that i've made this writeup, i've cursed the Miami Heat, haven't I?
