A type of
Telephone "answering service" where one finds oneself being asked by an annoying recorded
voice to choose between several options by pushing
numbers on the
receiver. These options then lead to other
options and the
search for the
center of the
maze begins. Often one can traverse each option but still arrive back at the
beginning of the maze without having reached the desired
destination.
These types of Labyrinths will be encountered when calling the Government, Universities, Large Institutions, Insurance Companies and of course Telephone Companies.
The only Golden Thread of Ariadne available to save one in such a frustrating circumstance is to hang up.
