Subduplicate of the triplicate; -- a term applied to ratios; thus, a and axb7; are in the sesquiplicate ratio of b and bxb7;, when a is to axb7; as the square root of the cube of b is to the square root of the cube of bxb7;, or a:axb7;::&root;b3:&root;bxb7;3.
The periodic times of the planets are in the sesquiplicate ratio of their mean distances.
