Round Rock was a small Texas town just north of Austin. It is now a large town, or at least larger, thinks entirely to the Dell Computer Company. Dell headquarters are not in Austin! I've seen it with my own eyes, right inside Round Rock city limits.

What's with the name?

Unsurprisingly, Round Rock is named after a rock. The rock is still there, you can look at it anytime you like. Back in the day when cattle were being herded through the area, they need to cross the little creek running through the area, and smack dab in the middle of the shallow point was, you guessed it, a round rock.

So, what's there?

Not much, I'm afraid.

What's it like?

It's all right. Mostly Republican, fairly strict police force, lots of shopping centers have been built recently. Traffic is worse each year due to the Dell-induced increase in population. Ironically, Michael Dell put his headquarters here because the traffic in Austin was too bad. Way to problem solve, Mike. Drop by for a visit anytime!

Closing statements?

All in all, it's a good town, sort of a Bizarro Austin political-wise, but it's got good enough people.
