Repulican Senator from Utah

He was elected to his second term in 1998. Prior to his election to congress he was the chief executive officer of the Franklin International Institute. He was named Inc. Magazine's "Entrepreneur of the Year" for the Rocky Mountain region. He was born September 18, 1933 in Salt Lake City and is the son of former four-term U.S. Senator Wallace F. Bennett and Frances Grant Bennett. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1957. He has a wife, Joyce and six children.

Senator Bennett has been praised for his leadership in technology related issues. He is a member and immediate past chairman of the Senate's Republican High-Tech Task Force. The American Electronics Association named him to their High-Tech Legislator Hall of Fame. His web-site includes games for children, such as madlibs with topics like : “How one bill became a law”.
