  1. One of the five squares in Center City, and I think the nicest, it is one square block of a park, filled with trees; there are often cultural events held here. It is surrounded (NSEW) by Walnut St., Rittenhouse Sq., 18th, and West Rittenhouse Sq.
  2. Probably the poshest area of Philadelphia to live in, it is the area around the square itself. Many a hotel, church, and highrise existeth, as well as theaters, boutiques, and museums.
