Richard Britteridge had the distinction of being the first passenger to die after the Mayflower reached Plymouth. Others died en route (vis. William Button) or while the Mayflower was in Cape Cod/Provincetown Harbor (vis. Edward Thompson, Jasper More etc.), but he was the first to die in the Plymouth Colony.
