  1. Short for Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, a quasi-governmental agency which operates the tunnels and bridges between New York City and New Jersey.
  2. Short for the Port Authority Bus Terminal, the main bus station for the City of New York, which is operated by the same Port Authority.
