Popularized by the All Your Base Video, photoshop contests are events where an original image or theme is chosen, and participants must create new images. Most frequently images are funny, but thoughtful or artistic ones are far from uncommon. Most photoshop contests are hosted by Fark, Something Awful and Worth 1000. The prize is almost always just the chance to win the most votes.

After a while, many Internet Cliches have developed around these contests.
