A (former) Formula 1 driver from Brazil, now part-owner of Prost GP-team.

Diniz moved up to Formula 1 in 1995 for the Forti-Corse Team with very modest success. Diniz has since raced for several teams but without a major breakthrough. Diniz's (father's) deep pockets kept him afloat for several years and guaranteed a drivers position in teams such as Sauber (amusingly, he has practically financed several seasons for his long time team-mate, finnish driver Mika Salo, who is considered faster but lacks the money).

Diniz decided to try his luck at the other end of the sport by acquiring part ownership in Prost racing. Hopefully he will find it more satisfactory.
