Paulus is an open source software architect, most famous for his role as maintainer of the Linux kernel for the Power Macintosh, and also for the Linux/Solaris/Tru64/etc implementation of the PPP communications protocol, and the Dirdiff programming tool.

Paulus is employed as a researcher at Linuxcare's OzLabs in Canberra, Australia.

Paulus is a visiting fellow in the Department of Computer Science at the Australian National University in Canberra, and is also the ANU team leader responsible for porting Linux to the Fujitsu distributed-memory multi-computer platform (AP1000, AP1000+, and AP3000 systems). Paulus loves playing (and winning) pool.
