Ninja Resurrection is an anime series about the legendary ninja Jubei. It takes place as the Tokugawa are about to take over Japan. This is an OVA series that is slowly coming out in Japan, but quickly coming to the US. The animation is some of the best quality i've ever seen, and the plot is building up a story that looks like it has potential.

Originally it was meant only to have 5 episodes, but now might have 7, or even 13. Its been acquired by ADVfilms.
