It occurred to me today that there was a brief indestructable
time when I was under warranty
, and it is over. With the average life span
rising above 50 only recently, evolution
wise, it is easy to see where this might be valid.
There was a time when I just naturally bounced back from everything: days without sleep, sudden extreme exertion, frequent exposures to very disturbed people, an all taco bell diet, drinking/puking/drinking, etc.
Now things like that tend to kick the legs right out from under me...the inevitable Darwinian outcome of sitting in a dark room reading films or email for most of my waking hours. It has led to overwhelming feelings of mortality.
