The Mohonk Mountain House is in New Paltz, New York.
A great resort in the mountains. Great views, gardens, and food!

Founded in 1869 by a pair of Quaker twins, the Smiley brothers offered spiritual pursuits such as nature walks and prayer meetings to their early guests. Located on a half-mile-long clear mountain lake, Mohonk, which was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1986, continues its traditions by offering a serene, peaceful, voyage back in time.

My family goes to Mohonk every Thanksgiving with our relatives for a kinda family reunion. I love this place. We always have so much fun.
Mohonk is also great for a day trip, plenty to do. For instance, climb the labyrinth, a lengthy bouldering climb to the top of the mountain.
