Michael John LaChiusa is one of the most talented young composers beginning to create a stir on the musical theater scene. In the past season alone he had two shows playing on Broadway- Marie Christine and The Wild Party. Critics have not been kind to him; bashing his lack of "hummable" melodies and his interest in darker themed works. However, this has not prevented him from getting his shows produced or from earning a small, loyal fan base.
