A character in the futuristic

Vandread. Age 19, Leader Dread Pilot.
Meia lost both of her parents in an industrial experiment gone wrong. Shunned after the disaster which was blamed on her Oma (her female father figure in an exclusivly female society) and not caring whether she lived or died she was taken in by the pirate captain
Magno (referred to as 'Boss' throughout the series). Naturally skilled she quickly took to
dread fighter piloting and eventually became their leader. Unwilling to open up to other people for fear of getting hurt and unable to rely on others she takes all the responsibility for leading the
dreads upon herself. Enventually however she begins to open up more to the people around her even to the man
Hibiki who she initially despised.
