Ken Barlow is the ex-husband of Deirdre Langton/Barlow/Rachid/Whatever it is this week (she's a bit of a goer), both of whom are very boring characters on a very boring UK soap opera called "Coronation Street". Ken Barlow is usually used as a comedy point of reference, as he is generally considered to be the most boring man in the world. So if you've heard someone say a phrase like "he's about as exciting as Ken Barlow", or something similar, and are confused as to the cultural reference, then wonder no longer. But don't watch the show.

Years ago, a mate of mine was at a weekend-long music festival, and saw some drunk bloke wearing a t-shirt which had these words printed on it: "Ken Barlow is Jesus".

Well, it made me laugh.
