Keith Green was Jewish, but became a "seeker" and dabbled in stereotypical '60s seeker fare like "drugs, eastern mysticism, and free-love." At age 20, he married Melody, who was in similar circumstances. At age 21, he was "born again" and became the folk Christian musican and Jesus impersonator he is known and loved for. His ministry evolved out of his music--it was sort of a combination camp meeting and fan club sort of thing. The plane crash on July 28, 1982 also took his three-year old Josiah and one-year-old Bethany.
