A variety of rice which is simply a blend of Jasmine and Basmati rices.

I swear I am not making this up.

Heartily recommended, especially for Indian/South-East Asian food, especially satay and curry. Has a texture very similar to Basmati, and with all the wondeful popcorn-ish aroma of Jasmine rice. Kind of hard to come by, I've only ever seen this stuff in one supermarket, and never heard it used in any traditional food, mostly because it's a blend of two different kinds of rice from two totally different parts of the world.

This is one of those foods that you have never tried but know what it will taste like before you try it.
