U.S.
Interstate highway running from just
east of
Knoxville,
Tennessee to the
Canadian border in
New York state. Runs basically along the
Appalachian Mountains, and though it doesn't really pass through any major cities, it is very heavily travelled, especially by
truckers.
Highlights along the road are the Tri-Cities, TN/VA area, Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA about 10 miles down U.S. 460 from Exit 118B in Christiansburg, VA, Roanoke, VA, Harrisburg, PA, Scranton, PA, and Syracuse, NY.
