Freshly showered,
flopped bare upon the bed
Damp hair strewn haphazardly
across our pillows
I closed my eyes, a moment's respite
the luxury of a daydream's relapse
The clouds shifted
I was bathed in light
Opening my eyes I saw
steam rising from still hot skin
caressed by the very fingertips of Sol
Had you seen me then
you would have paused, transfixed
Had you seen me then
you would have written a poem
