This was a really cool tidbit I learned from my mother, a Registered Nurse. She used to work in the Maternity ward of the hospital. A Maternity ward is where newborn babies are kept. One day she participated in a fire drill.

So what do you do when you're in a room with over a dozen babies, the fire alarm goes off and you're on the second floor?

Behind the door are two oversized aprons, with gigantic pockets. The two nurses on duty quickly don the aprons, and put a baby into each pocket. I'm not sure what the limit is on how many the apron can comfortably hold, but I'd say at least six. The nurses then proceed safely to an exit, with all their patients being carried like a kangaroo, only carrying several more than any marsupial.

I wish I could get a picture of that, it sounds like fun. Much safer than just grabbing a handful under each arm and running down the stairs.
