A hordarian is the treasurer of a monastery. He is head of the hordary. This is not just keeping track of money, the hordarian is in charge of all the stores of the monastery, including food stores.
It is also sometimes used to mean the keeper of a hoard (for example, a banker, Bill Gates, or a dragon).
