Not all Catholics are regular church-goers. Many of them fall into this category, of Hatch, Match, and Dispatch. How does this work?

  • Hatch: They are in church when they are baptized.
  • Match: They are in church when they get married.
  • Dispatch: They are in church when they die.
In some circles, they are also known as the Bred, Wed, and Dead Catholics.

A necessary update: Blush Response messaged me that this does not apply to Catholics alone, but other Christian denominations, notably Anglican.
